The goal is, through a personalized patient care, to slowdown the evolution towards kidney failure and then towards terminal kidney failure. Prevention therefore plays an important role in public health and in reducing health costs.
Diagnosis
It concerns patients with symptoms of kidney disease, who therefore present the risk of developing kidney failure over time.

Preparation for replacement therapies
It concerns patients who have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which requires replacement therapy such as dialysis (hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) or kidney transplantation. The emphasis is on correct and explicit information (in line with the recommendations of EKPF: European Kidney Patients’ Federation) to both the patient and his family. This allows choosing the appropriate replacement therapy taking into account the social context of the patient.
Control visits
They regard patients who follow a replacement therapy (such as peritoneal dialysis) or transplant patients.
Caslano Medical Study
Caslano’s medical practice is located in Via Golf 40 nearby Caslano’s roundabout just after San Luca’s pharmacy, on the left of the road going towards the lake. (Follow the “studi medici” sign). Being on the ground floor the doctor’s office is easily accessible to patients in wheelchair.
It offers numerous free parking spaces reserved for patients and their carers. There is also a parking space for disabled.

Lugano Medical Practice
In Via Soldino 7 in Lugano, the medical practice is located on the second floor of a building close to Clinica Luganese Moncucco. Free parking in the courtyard just on the left before the entry barrier into the Clinic.
